Tami Morris and Katy Palermo
Tami and Katy grew up like most sisters, holding hands one day and stealing each other’s clothes the next. Their late mother, who put faith at the forefront of their Italian family, brought up the quintessential Italian siblings who despite some healthy competition always cheered for each other’s achievements. Their Catholic heritage and periodic travels to the holy lands instilled deep meaning to the Palermo girls and also accumulated coveted keepsakes. Connoisseurs of sorts, clothes, antique dishes and vintage jewelry were always purchased with great discretion. Like their mother, Tami and Katy appreciated items of historic style so they have since treasured the collection that now maps out their European ventures.
Together however, they discovered a new passion within a dusty shoebox of their mother’s, who passed away from a 29 year battle with cancer in 2004. After digging through the newfound shoebox, the sisters laid out endless rows of medals that they were soon envisioned on vintage Chanel chains, rosary beads and other antique settings. Dating 50-150 years in age, each medal had its own lineage of fashion, family, royal affiliation or religion—some even possess personal inscription. An eye for style and a head for business, Tami and Katy joined their talents to build a vintage jewelry line, to honor their mother and to hold hands again in a shared pursuit.
